At the invitation of the Insolvency Law Committee of the Cologne Bar Association, lawyer Dr. Nils Ahrens spoke yesterday evening at the Insolvency Law networking event about the decision of the Federal Court of Justice of 29.06.2023 (IX ZR 56/22). With the decision obtained by our law firm, the IX. Civil Senate of the Federal Court of Justice, which is responsible for lawyers’ and tax advisors’ liability, further developed its case law on the inclusion of third parties in the scope of protection of the mandate agreement concluded between the lawyer and client (we reported on 03.08.2023). After the presentation, there was an opportunity for professional exchange in a collegial atmosphere.
